Inmate Phone Calls

Does the inmate use a phone card to make his phone calls?

Hi, I just purchased the Discount Telephone service for my Fiance, who is incarcerated in Pahrump (Nevada Southern Detention Center), but I need to know if he has to purchase a phone card from Commissary to make his phone calls? If so, what phone system is used at this facility so that I can find out if I need to purchase a separate account with them, or is the phone card he purchases settle the deal?

The inmate has to either use a phone card purchased through the commissary, or you will have to set up a pre-paid account with IC Solutions. The cost of a local call is less expensive than the cost of a long distance call. The price difference is why people use InmateAid.
