How Can Someone in the UK Send Money to a US Inmate?

I am in the UK and can not send money to my inmate via western union, they use the quick collect service and need a US bank issued card. Do you know of any other service that forwards money orders?

Sending money to a US inmate from outside the country is a common challenge for international family members. Most US prison money transfer services require a US bank-issued card or a domestic account, which rules out the standard options for people overseas.

InmateAid offers a solution specifically for international members. We handle the deposit on your behalf so you do not need a US bank account or card. Here is how the fee structure works:

You decide the amount you want your inmate to receive. InmateAid charges a $10.00 service fee, the transfer company charges approximately $10.00, and there is a credit card processing fee of 4% on the total amount sent.

As an example, sending your inmate $100.00 breaks down like this: $10.00 InmateAid service fee, $10.00 transaction charge, and $4.80 credit card fee on the $120.00 subtotal, for a total outlay of $124.80.

Once payment is received, InmateAid processes and sends the money order to your inmate's facility. We scan the money order and email it to you for your records. Funds typically post to your inmate's account within one to three business days.

To get started, log into your InmateAid account and an invoice for the amount you wish to send will be placed in your account dashboard. If you need help setting this up, reach out directly and we will walk you through it.
