Waiting for parole board results is one of the most nerve-wracking experiences in the incarceration process, and the Arkansas system does not make it any easier with fast updates.

The Arkansas Department of Corrections inmate search at adc.arkansas.gov is the right place to check, but database updates after a parole board hearing can take several days to a week or more before any change in status appears. If the page looks the same as it did before the hearing, it most likely means the system simply has not been updated yet rather than that nothing happened.

A few other ways to get information faster than waiting for the website to update.

Call the Cummins Unit directly and ask to speak with your family member's case manager or parole officer. They will have the hearing result before the public database reflects it and can confirm the outcome over the phone. Identify yourself as a family member and be direct about what you are asking.

Contact the Arkansas Board of Parole directly. The board's office can sometimes confirm whether a decision has been made on a specific case, though they may not share all details with someone who is not the inmate or their attorney.

Your family member will also be notified of the result through their unit team. If phone access is available, they will likely know the outcome before you do and can pass it along.

Stay positive and keep checking. The update will come.
