Riverbend Correctional Facility in Georgia is a privately operated facility run by the GEO Group under contract with the Georgia Department of Corrections. Sending money to an inmate there follows the Georgia DOC approved process rather than a facility specific system.

The approved money transfer services for Georgia DOC facilities including Riverbend are JPay and Access Corrections. Both allow you to send money online, by phone, or through retail locations.

JPay

JPay is the most commonly used service for Georgia state inmates. Visit jpay.com or download the JPay app. You will need your son's Georgia DOC inmate ID number and the facility name to complete the transfer. Funds typically post to his account within one to two business days.

Access Corrections

Access Corrections is an alternative approved provider. Visit accesscorrections.com to set up an account and send funds using the same inmate ID number and facility information.

What you will need

Your son's full legal name as it appears in the Georgia DOC system, his Georgia DOC inmate ID number, and the facility name Riverbend Correctional Facility. If the ID number he gave you is not working in the system verify it digit by digit as a single transposed number will cause the search to fail.

If you are still having trouble

Contact Riverbend directly and ask for the inmate accounts or trust fund department. They can confirm which money transfer service is currently approved and walk you through the process. The Georgia DOC inmate search at gdoc.georgia.gov can also help you verify his current ID number and facility assignment.
