I've actually seen inmates have sex with their loved one in the visitation room of a federal prison camp. The security is not in your face and the visits are the best they can be, seated on picnic tables so getting close easy.  If you risk doing so and get caught or someone snitches on your (like in this case), the visits will end forever and the inmate will spend months in the SHU before they transfer him to a higher

Yes, you will be able to visit your fiancé in the halfway house. The visitation is very liberal and it's allowed on most days. After he gets settled, he will be assigned a counselor that will oversee his reentry. If he has a period of supervised release, he will meet with the person assigned to his case from US Probation. The Letter and Photo service through InmateAid is not digital. It is an actual letter printed out and send through the US Postal Service. We estimate that it takes 2-3 business days to reach the mail room. Normally the mail is immediately processed and delivered to the inmate, however there are delays that occur for various reasons that are outside of anyone's control. That is determined by a judge during sentencing and then the counselor and case manager at the institution he is released from. Also, if the offender has a probation or supervised released period, that will have some influence as to when they might get home confinement (the next step down from halfway house).
