What your ex got from us is a telephone number that makes the calls from your inmate less expensive. We are not replacing the service at the jail, you still pay them for the calls but with our number the calls through their service is generally about $4-5 per call cheaper. A double-digit sentence is at least ten years. If she was moved from the federal detention center it means that the US Attorney is not prosecuting the case. It would appear that the District Attorney is going to try the case in state court, which is why she was transferred to a county jail. If she is convicted, she would go to state prison, not federal prison. Robbery charges are serious and often carry double-digit sentences (up to 25 years)

Lockdown is something imposed for the safety of the operation of the jail. There are no limits to the amount of time they can keep inmates in lockdown. There are no statutes that require inmates to have any liberties, and lockdowns occur when the inmates have done something against the rules.

The release date can change as an inmate accrues new charges. There are no guaranteed release dates when you are the property of the government. There is also a possibility that a different jurisdiction has it's own charge and/or warrant which would extend the stay.

You might have pushed the wrong number on the phone when accepting the call. If you accidentally block your inmate form calling, the system won't let him dial through. This is a measure to protect citizens from being harassed. To reverse this, you will need to call your inmate's counselor and possibly the phone service at the prison to get the block lifted.

Every inmate knows the exact date that they will be released. The first person to ask would be them. If you are not able to communicate or doubt their word you can always call the institution and ask to speak with a case manager or unit secretary to see if they will provide you with this information. NOrmally the good time credit is 15% of the sentence. They are given the credit upon commencement, the inmate can only lose this time, they cannot accrue more time.
