Not every facility can be serviced with a local discount phone line. Coverage depends on the phone carrier contracted to that specific jail or prison, and in some cases a local number simply cannot be obtained for that area.

When InmateAid is unable to procure a local line for a facility after a customer has placed an order, we issue a full refund. You will not be charged for a service we cannot deliver.

If you are setting up a new account and are not sure whether your inmate's facility is serviceable, reach out to InmateAid before placing an order and we will check availability for that specific location first. That saves the wait and the back and forth if coverage is not available.

For facilities where the discount line service is not an option, sending money directly to your inmate's commissary account so they can use the facility's standard phone system is the practical alternative. InmateAid can help with money transfers as well if you need a straightforward way to do that.
