Why would they move my inmate to another location?

my friend beat his open case they transferred him from house of corrections to hoffman hall now he have to see his back judge will he have to stay there and why they move him there how long will he have to stay

There is no specific time set aside. They transfer the inmate to the jurisdiction where the judge sits and whenever there is a court date, he will be there. It might be a week, it could be three months we just have no way of knowing.
