The Second Chance Act of 2007 - The Entire Law

The Second Chance Act of 2007

The Second Chance Act of 2007 is one of the most misunderstood and over-hyped law to be enacted in over a decade.  The rumor mill in prison has inmates thinking that the application of this statute will reduce their sentence sufficiently that they are literally packing their belongings and awaiting a call from their counselor. The truth is that the wording in the law does give you pause to think that you may very well fit the profile of eligibility.

InmateAid has the entire law as drawn up and passed by Congress right here on the site.  It is lengthy and it is certainly confusing and ambiguous.  If you come away from reading it with more questions than answers, please use Ask the Inmate and we will give you a detailed response that should clear up specific circumstances that pertain to your loved one's case.
