The Angelina County TX Jail is a detention center located at 2311 East Lufkin Ave Lufkin, TX which is operated locally by the Angelina County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Angelina County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Lufkin Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Money Orders will not be accepted at this facility. Your family and friends can add money to your account using the following: VEND ENGINE
COMMISSARY - Various items of food, beverages, stationary items, personal hygiene articles, clothing, shoes etc., are available for purchase from the inmate commissary. Stockpiling of commissary items for resale to other inmates, for gambling or bartering purposes, is strictly forbidden. All property maintained by the inmates in their cell will be stored in a neat and orderly fashion. Inmates who violate this rule will be subject to disciplinary action. All commissary must be entered over the phone by the inmate before Tuesday 10:00 AM. Orders will be passed out on Wednesday. Indigent will be ordered by filling out an Inmate Request Form with name, S.O. #, and indigent written on the form and turned in prior Friday at 8:00 AM. To receive indigent you cannot buy anything from commissary and your balance must be less than 50. All money must be deposited into your account prior to 8:00 AM on Tuesday morning.

Visitors may sign up 30 minutes before visitation starts and must be signed up 30 minutes before minutes before visitation ends.
Note: If there exists any extenuating circumstances that require deviation from any of the above you must submit an inmate request form stating your needs and it will be evaluated.
