Work Programs:
At the Perryville Complex, inmates are actively engaged in work programs designed to instill marketable job skills and cultivate positive work habits. Through various business ventures catering to stakeholders, inmates have the opportunity to acquire skills relevant to community employment. Noteworthy initiatives include providing an inmate workforce to Hickman’s Egg ranch and offering positions in food service, maintenance crews, plumbing, library services, painting, and the complex's physical plant and motor pool. Additionally, inmates participate in labor forces supporting endeavors like the Special Olympics, ACI Televerde, the printshop, and the garment factory, which not only produces inmate garments but also contributes to cost-saving measures. Revenue-generating projects such as the Televerde call centers directly benefit the State of Arizona. The Perryville Complex also offers employment opportunities in partnership with entities like the Motor Vehicle Department, Ash Crew, ADOT, and the Wildland Fire Crew, which extend support to local communities.

Education:
Across all units within the Perryville Complex, inmates have access to comprehensive educational programs tailored to their needs. These programs encompass functional literacy, high school education, GED preparation, and college and university programs. Degree options range from certificates in fields such as plumbing, automotive, and quality customer service to associate and bachelor's degrees. Specialized offerings such as Spanish classes from Ashland University and work-based education programs and degrees from Rio Salado further enrich inmates' educational experiences.

Treatment & Self-Improvement Programs:
To support inmates' personal growth and rehabilitation, the Perryville complex implements Convergent Case Management (CCM) strategies. Case managers work closely with inmates to gather information and assist them in setting realistic goals for their release. Across all units, inmates have access to a variety of treatment and self-improvement programs, including Changing Offender Behavior, Parenting, Conflict Resolution (Courage to Change), Women in Recovery (WIR), religious services, and art programs. Volunteer-led NA and AA programs are also available. The Lumley Unit offers the Red Program, while the Santa Rosa and Piestewa units collectively provide the Second Chance Center, a pre-release program aimed at facilitating successful reintegration into society. Additionally, the Department of Economic Security collaborates with ADCRR to support inmates in securing employment upon their release.
