The Clackamas County Jail is a detention center located at 2206 S Kaen Rd Oregon City, OR which is operated locally by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Clackamas County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Oregon City Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Oregon here.
The Clackamas County Jail provides telephone usage to unrestricted inmates so they can maintain personal communications and ties with friends and family to facilitate their future transition from jail life to community life. The policy is to ensure the jail's safety, security, order, and efficient operation while using the least restrictive means possible to regulate general inmate telephone use. Within a reasonable time frame following the admission process, inmates shall be allowed to use the phone to contact family/friends or their attorney -- unless the intake forms have not been completed due to the inmate's disruptive behavior.
