The Davis Co Jail is a detention center located at 800 W State St Farmington, UT which is operated locally by the Davis County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Davis County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Farmington Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Utah here.

The DCCF prioritizes community safety, facility security, and the well-being of both staff and inmates. With a commitment to fostering hope and instilling positive life skills, the facility typically accommodates approximately 800 inmates daily.

Operated under the authority of the Sheriff, the facility adheres to stringent oversight and compliance with the Utah Sheriffs’ Association Jail Standards. Annual inspections ensure adherence to these standards, with additional oversight from entities such as the Utah Department of Corrections, U.S. Marshals Service, Davis County Health Department Environmental Health Services, medical authorities, and state and local Fire Marshals.

Upon booking, individuals have the opportunity to notify a chosen contact person (excluding victims) of their situation, while their belongings are securely stored, and they are provided with clothing and bedding. Necessities such as food, water, and personal hygiene items are provided throughout their stay.

The facility accepts eyeglasses, contacts, or approved prescription medications during regular business hours, with most medications provided in-house. Plans are underway to enhance medical care through the Medical Observation Unit, which will expand capacity and improve response to medical and mental health needs, including isolation and treatment for communicable diseases.

In collaboration with community partners, the Davis County Correctional Facility offers various programs aimed at building and sustaining positive life skills. These include educational opportunities such as High School classes and Computer Coding, as well as behavioral interventions like Cognitive Restructuring, Substance Use Disorder treatment, and Anger Management. Additionally, Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) is available for individuals court-ordered for treatment, reflecting the facility's holistic approach to rehabilitation and reintegration.
