Doniphan Co Jail is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.

The Doniphan Co Jail is a detention center located at 219 S Main St Troy, KS which is operated locally by the Doniphan County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Doniphan County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Troy Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The Doniphan County Jail and its personnel shall strive at all times to provide a safe environment for inmates, personnel, and visitors, to protect them from danger, injury, corporal punishment, abuse, harassment, intimidation, and damage to their property.

-All mail must go through the U.S. Postal Service.
-All incoming mail may be opened and inspected for contraband and/or unapproved items.

Doniphan County Jail - Visitation

-Call 24 hours in advance to set up visitation
-Bring I.D.
-Must be 18 years of age or older. Or be a sibling or child of inmate. Birth Certificate is needed for verification.
-(1) visit per week from Sunday to Saturday
-Inmate must be incarcerated for (5) days prior to being allowed a visit
