And getting info about the arrest? Not always easy. That's where this webpage comes in handy. It's here to help you get a handle on how things work at Drew County Detention Facility so you can stay connected and support your loved one behind bars.

The Drew County Detention Facility is a detention center located at 210 S Main St Monticello, AR which is operated locally by the Drew County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Drew County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Monticello Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Arkansas here.

All persons who are arrested and taken into custody are transported to the Detention Center for booking and incarceration. The Detention Center is divided into separate housing areas for males and female inmates, as well as isolation and temporary holding cells. The Detention Center houses both pre-trial detainees and post-conviction inmates who are serving sentences or awaiting transport to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

Each member of the Detention Center staff is required to complete a minimum of forty hours of state approved training to become certified Jailers. They also receive certified training in ACIC/NCIC terminal operations, Radio Dispatch Procedures, and BAC Datamaster Breathalyzer operations and procedures. Many of the Jailers are also certified as Reserve Deputy Sheriffs with the department, and all of the Jail Supervisors are fully certified law enforcement officers.

The Drew County Jail and Detention Center is under the direction of Susan Potts, the Jail Administrator.
