Madison CI is a male adult state prison in Florida accommodating up to 1,054 inmates and offers a wide array of programs aimed at rehabilitation and personal development. Oversight by the Florida DOC ensures the quality and effectiveness of these programs along with a Satellite Unit called the Madison Work Camp that houses inmates who are nearing release and are allowed to work during the day in the public sector enhancing their chances of a successful reentry into society.

Academic Programs include Adult Basic Education, ESL (English as a Second Language), General Education Diploma (GED), and specialized typing programs, catering to diverse educational needs.

Vocational Programs like Culinary Arts equip inmates with practical skills for potential employment opportunities upon release.

Substance Abuse Programs offer comprehensive treatment options such as Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Outpatient Treatment Programs, to address addiction issues effectively.

Chaplaincy Services provide spiritual support through various services and studies, including Buddhist, Catholic, Jewish (Orthodox), Muslim, Mormon, and Pentecostal services, among others, fostering a diverse religious environment.

Institutional Betterment Programs cover a wide range of areas including anger management, art, barbering, faith-based initiatives, library services, life skills, music, parenting, peer support, re-entry preparation, social counseling, veteran support, victim impact classes, and wellness education, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation and personal growth.

With initiatives like the B.A.R.K. Adoption Program, Kards-4-Kids, and the Shoe Factory, Madison CI also encourages involvement in community service and skill-building activities, further contributing to the inmates' rehabilitation and readiness for reintegration into society.

Visitation Information

FDC Visitation Information

Regular visiting is held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time). Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. (7:15 a.m. CST) on both days. Visitors will not be processed after 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. CST) unless authorized by the duty warden. Visitors will be allowed to park in designated spaces no earlier than 7:30 a.m. EST and 6:30 a.m. CST on visiting days.

Regular visiting is permitted on the following holidays:
• New Year's Day
• Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. (third Monday in January)
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veteran's Day (November 11th)
• Thanksgiving Day
• Friday after Thanksgiving; and
• Christmas Day
If any of the holidays listed above falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as a holiday. If any of these holidays fall on Sunday, then the following Monday will be observed as the holiday
