The Community Corrections Division Sante Fe CRC in Alachua County is privately owned and contracted by government lease and consists of six community-based programs that supervise both pre-sentenced and sentenced offenders, prioritizing public safety and cost-effective alternatives to incarceration. Working in collaboration with the Work Release Center located at 2901 NE 39th Ave Florida, FL, and other criminal justice agencies, the division oversees thousands of offenders in the community.

The Santa Fe Bridge Community Release Center, under the direction of Jullian Williams, provides program beds for 156 male community release individuals from an FL DOC prison. The Bridge provides intensive substance abuse treatment and value-added services to men with a remaining sentence of 24 to 36 months. This program operates on the principles of Therapeutic Community Concepts, fostering an environment where individuals are encouraged to actively participate in their recovery journey. With clinical supervision, peer-led initiatives aim to maintain a drug-free lifestyle and equip men with essential skills for successful reintegration into society.

Participants in the Community Release program are employed during the day and have the option to engage in educational, vocational, and substance abuse treatment courses during their free time. They contribute financially by paying for room and board, fulfilling court-ordered payments, and allocating funds for family support and savings upon release. Through substance abuse treatment and other services, individuals are empowered with problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills, enhancing their ability to maintain recovery.

The program offers a range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, including addiction education, anger management, job placement assistance, and transitional support. Community partnerships play a vital role in enriching program offerings and facilitating successful re-entry into society. Collaborating organizations include local law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, faith-based groups, and community service organizations.

By providing comprehensive support and opportunities for personal growth, the Santa Fe Bridge Community Release Center strives to empower individuals to overcome barriers to successful reintegration and lead fulfilling lives as contributing members of the community.
