Forest County WI Jail is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.

The Forest County WI Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 100 S Park Ave Crandon, WI which is operated locally by the Forest County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Forest County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Crandon Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

The Forest County Sheriff Jail/Corrections Division maintains an 80-bed facility that was completed in 1997. In addition to housing our own inmates, the Forest County Jail houses inmates from Oconto County. The Forest County Jail imposes the following fees on Sentenced Inmates:

Booking Fee - $20.00
Daily Room and Board - $20.00 a day
Huber Fee - $15.00 a day + Room and Board Fee
Electronic Monitoring Fee - $35.00 a day total.

The Forest County Jail no longer accepts clothing items for inmates, only the following items will be accepted at the front window. Contacts and Solution, Glasses, Medication.

Visitation Information

Forest County Sheriff Jail - Visitation

All inmate visitation at the Forest County Jail is done by appointment only. Inmate visitation is done by video, either online or you may do video visitation in the lobby of the Forest County Sheriff's Office. Visitation is allowed from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm daily.

Visitation appointments can also be made in the Lobby of the Forest County Sheriff's Office. The is no fee for on-site inmate visits, however a current photo I.D.is required when making an appointment to visit.

All visitation appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Do not call the Forest County Jail to schedule an appointment.
