Located at 200 S Vandenberg Dr in Moultrie, GA, Colquitt County Jail carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. Established in 1954 and renovated in 1991, Colquitt County Correctional Institution serves as a medium-security facility dedicated to accommodating state and county offenders while providing essential labor support for the Colquitt County Government.
Housing at the institution comprises four dormitories, each equipped with 55 beds, along with 12 isolation cells for specific needs.
In terms of work details, inmates contribute labor towards various endeavors, including road maintenance, skilled machine operation, County Government building maintenance, and building construction.
Program offerings include academic pursuits, with a focus on obtaining a General Education Diploma (GED). Counseling services are available for personal and self-growth, as well as motivation for change. Recreation activities cater to general leisure pursuits, while religious activities encompass various worship services and choir participation.
Vocational and on-the-job training opportunities are provided in food service, heavy equipment operation, building maintenance, auto maintenance, laundry services, and electric and air conditioning work. These programs aim to equip inmates with valuable skills for potential employment upon release.

The first step in the visitation process is to become an approved visitor. To do so, you must first fill out the Visitation Request Form and submit a completed form to the facility where your loved one is incarcerated. Please include a copy of supporting documentation (photo id, marriage license, and birth certificate) along with the application. Consent forms must be notarized before they can be processed. All visitors must apply regardless of age. They must also be mailed to the facility where the offender is currently housed (email forms will not be accepted).

Dress Code - For adults: No tank tops, no mesh or see-through clothing, t-shirts cannot be sleeveless. No chest, shoulders, or stomach exposed. A skirt may not be more than 2 inches above the knee. No stretch pants or shorts may be worn. Only children are permitted to wear shorts. No Contraband is Permitted
