Located at 401 Cascade Cir in Soperton, GA, Treutlen PDC carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. The Treutlen PDC serves as a vital component within Georgia's criminal justice system, offering a specialized environment for probationers requiring enhanced security or supervision beyond regular community oversight. Established on April 1, 1991, and situated on 47 acres in Treutlen County, the center embodies a mission focused on providing a sanctioning alternative for probationers who may not thrive under standard community supervision.
As a minimum-security facility, Treutlen PDC accommodates probationers for up to 180 days, serving either as a sentencing option or as a placement for those unable to fulfill their probation obligations in the community due to various factors. The center is characterized by its highly structured environment, regimented schedules, and emphasis on supervised, unpaid work in surrounding communities. Through tailored programming and community engagement initiatives, Treutlen PDC aims to equip offenders with the skills and resources necessary for successful reintegration into society.
Housing at Treutlen PDC consists of six open dormitories furnished with double and triple bunk beds, accommodating a total of 48 individuals per dormitory. Additionally, a seven-bed lockdown unit is available to ensure security and discipline within the facility.
Offenders participate in a range of work details both within the facility and in the surrounding areas. Outside work details involve assignments in cities such as Dublin, Vidalia, Milledgeville, Adrian, and Soperton, contributing to various community projects and initiatives. Inside work details encompass tasks related to sanitation, dormitory upkeep, maintenance, laundry, groundskeeping, and kitchen operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility.
Treutlen PDC offers a variety of programs aimed at addressing the educational, vocational, and counseling needs of its residents. Academic offerings include a General Education Diploma (GED) and Adult Basic Education programs to enhance literacy and academic skills. Counseling services cover topics such as re-entry preparation, motivation for change, substance abuse recovery through programs like Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous, and interventions for family violence.

Treutlen PDC maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

The first step in the visitation process is to become an approved visitor. To do so, you must first fill out the Visitation Request Form and submit a completed form to the facility where your loved one is incarcerated. Please include a copy of supporting documentation (photo id, marriage license, and birth certificate) along with the application. Consent forms must be notarized before they can be processed. All visitors must apply regardless of age. They must also be mailed to the facility where the offender is currently housed (email forms will not be accepted).

Dress Code - For adults: No tank tops, no mesh or see-through clothing, t-shirts cannot be sleeveless. No chest, shoulders, or stomach exposed. A skirt may not be more than 2 inches above the knee. No stretch pants or shorts may be worn. Only children are permitted to wear shorts. No Contraband is Permitted
