The Graham County KS Jail is a detention center located at 410 North Pomeroy Ave Hill City, KS which is operated locally by the Graham County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Graham County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Hill City Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The Graham County Jail has a 14 Bed Capacity.
Staff monitors inmates 24 hours a day.
Graham County holds prisoners by contract with the other counties across the state. This is done in our goal to be fiscally conservative and to prevent becoming a tax burden on the Citizens of Graham County.

Note:

  • Inmates are not allowed to receive packages from family or friends.
  • Inmates are allowed to receive money in the form of a Money Order only.
  • Questions regarding inmate care can be forwarded to the Sheriff or the Sheriff's Office Staff.

Visitation Information

Graham County Jail - Visitation

Inmates are allowed to visit twice per week under the following conditions:

  • Inmates may visit on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. (Attorneys Excepted)
  • Priority is given to immediate family members.
  • No Person under the age of 18 is allowed to visit. No Exceptions.
  • No Person who is currently on Probation, Parole, Bond, or listed as a Victim or Co-Defendant in a current court case may visit.
  • Visitation is not held on any holiday recognized by the Board of County Commissioners.
  • Visitation may be canceled without prior notice.

Above all, visitation with family is a privilege and not a right. The Sheriff's Office reserves the right to refuse a visit for any reason other than a visit with the inmate's attorney.
