The Jackson County OH Correctional Facility is a detention center located at 350 Portsmouth St Jackson, OH which is operated locally by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Jackson County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Jackson Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Ohio here.
THERE IS A $ 20.00 BOOKING FEE IF YOU ARE BOOKED INTO THIS FACILITY, PLUS A $ 2.00 ENTRY PAK FEE (TOOTHPASTE, TOOTHBRUSH, SOAP, COMB & DEODORANT)
ALL BOOKING/ENTRY PAK FEES WILL NEED TO BE PAID BEFORE AN INMATE CAN PLACE A COMMISSARY ORDER. IF MONEY IS BROUGHT IN, THAT MONEY WILL BE PUT ON AN INMATES COMMISSARY ACCOUNT AND ANY FEES OWED WILL BE DEDUCTED FIRST.
WHEN AN INMATE HAS A GOOD BALANCE, THEY MAY ORDER COMMISSARY. COMMISSARY ORDERS ARE SENT OUT ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS BY 9:30 AM. ORDERS ARE DELIVERED TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS. IF THERE IS A NATIONAL HOLIDAY THERE IS NO COMMISSARY ON THAT HOLIDAY.
INMATES HAVE PHONES IN THE POD TO CALL COLLECT. THE INMATE PHONE SERVICE WE USE IS SECURES. THE NUMBER FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO CALL IF YOU NEED HELP (SETTING UP ACCOUNTS) IS 1-800-844-6591.
IF AVAILABLE AND AN INMATE HAS MONEY, THEY MAY ORDER A WEEKENDER PACK FOR $12.00. INMATES CAN FILL OUT ORDER FORMS IN THE POD AND GIVE TO POD OFFICER, THESE FORMS WILL BE PUT IN MAILBOX. COMMISSARY CLERK WILL COLLECT AND FILL ORDERS MON-FRI. EXCEPT ON NATIONAL HOLIDAYS.
INMATES WITH A GOOD BALANCE MAY ALSO PURCHASE PRE-PAID PHONE CARDS. THERE ARE $10.00 & $20.00 CARDS. THESE CARDS ARE BASED ON AMOUNT THE CALL COST AS TO HOW MANY CALLS THEY GET ON THAT CARD. THESE CAN BE USED TO CALL NUMBERS WITH COLLECT CALL BLOCKS AND CELL PHONES AS WELL AS REGULAR NUMBERS.
NOTE: A LOT OF THE CALLS TO CELL PHONES GET CUT OFF DUE TO SERVICE AREA AND STATIC. CALLS CUT OFF TO CELL PHONES WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR DROPPED CALLS.

IF AN INMATE HAS MEDICATIONS THAT NEED DROPPED OFF AND YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT DURING THE ABOVE TIMES, PLEASE CALL THE SHIFT SUPERVISOR TO ADVISE THAT YOU ARE COMING AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DROP OFF.

EACH INMATE IS ALLOWED 30 MINUTES OF VISIT TIME.
THIS CAN BE DIVIDED INTO TWO 15 MINUTE VISITS OVER TWO DAYS OR ONE 30 MINUTE VISIT
ALL VISITS NEED TO BE SCHEDULED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE AS SPACE IS LIMITED.
