The Judge TJ Loftiss II Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) is a medium to low-security detention center located at 400 South Pinetree Blvd Bldg 600 Thomasville, GA that is operated locally by the Juvenile Justice Department and holds youths awaiting the determination of punishment for the crimes which they are accused. Most of the adolescents are here for less than two years.

Program Description: Provides temporary, secure care and supervision to youths who are charged with crimes or who have been found guilty of crimes and are awaiting disposition of their cases by a juvenile court. Additionally, youths committed to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice are frequently held in secure detention while awaiting placement in one of DJJ's treatment programs or facilities.
