JCCF is for Regional Facility offenders have not been sentenced yet and are detained here until their case is heard.

The JCCF is a low/medium-security detention center located at 279 Hwy 33 Fayette, MS which is operated locally by the Jefferson Regional Authority and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates have been here for less than five years. JCCF accepts inmates from the Jefferson County Sheriff's arrests and surrounding towns, Fayette Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. JCCF, a regional prison facility in Mississippi, operates under the Department of Corrections, catering to male inmates with sentences under 60 months in a medium-security environment. The facility provides various programs to support inmate rehabilitation and readiness for reintegration into society upon release.

Among the programs offered at JCCF are the GED Academy, providing inmates with the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency diploma, and Alcohol & Drug Treatment programs aimed at addressing substance abuse issues and promoting recovery. Additionally, the facility offers Pre-Release programs to assist inmates in preparing for life after incarceration by providing essential skills and resources for successful reentry into their communities.
