The Plaquemines Parish Jail is a detention center located at 16801 Hwy 15 Davant, LA which is operated locally by the Plaquemines Parish County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Warden Denise Narcisse, overseeing the Corrections Division, has been a member of the Sheriff's Office since 1994. She manages the Correctional Center in Davant, Louisiana, which accommodates over 800 beds. The Sheriff's Office Correctional Center, inaugurated on February 11, 2015, is a modern facility located in Davant, La. It stands elevated over 18 feet and lies within the federal hurricane protection levee system of the parish.

All trustees are housed at the Correctional Center, where they are assigned to Inmate Labor Crews. These crews collaborate with Non-Profit Organizations across Plaquemines Parish.
