It's here to help you get a handle on how things work at Stanly County NC Detention Center so you can stay connected and support your loved one behind bars.
The Stanly Co Jail is a detention center located at 223 S 2nd St Albemarle, NC which is operated locally by the Stanly County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Stanly County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Albemarle Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for North Carolina here.
The Detention Center is modular in design, which will allow the facility to be further expanded as the population of Stanly County continues to grow. It consists of several administrative offices, a public lobby and visitation, Booking and Releasing areas, a Medical Station, and 5 Inmate Housing Blocks.
Inmate Care Packages - Inmates at the Detention Center are not allowed to receive care packages from the public. Inmates on a writ from another county cannot receive care packages nor have money placed on their Inmate Account. Everything listed below may be purchased by inmates through the Inmate Commissary if they have funds available in their Inmate Account.
