The Stutsman County ND Correctional Center (SCCC) is a detention center located at 205 6th St SE Jamestown, ND which is operated locally by the Stutsman County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Stutsman County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Jamestown Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The Stutsman County Correctional Center (SCCC) opened in 1986 with an initial capacity of 44 inmates. After several adjustments and the addition of double bunking, the facility has a capacity of 96 inmates. The Correctional Center is a Class One Jail and houses sentenced and non-sentenced adult men and women. The SCCC also contracts with the Federal Government and surrounding counties for housing. It manages an Attendant Care / Safe Bed program providing at-risk youth short-term housing.

Visitation Information

Stutsman County ND Correctional Center (SCCC) - Visitation

Stutsman County now offers inmate video visitation through Turnkey Corrections. The public can visit the Inmate Canteen website to set up an account. You will need an account with a valid e-mail address to use the system both at home and at the jail.

The public has two options:

  • At The Jail - Video visitation kiosks are located on the main level of the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center. These kiosks are free to use and there are no charges to either the visitor or the inmate. The jail has three kiosks that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please do not touch or try to adjust any of the equipment other than the receiver. If you need assistance please contact the jail. Children must be properly supervised in the visitation area.
  • At Home/Office/Etc - For a nominal fee per minute, users can log on to the Inmate Canteen website from anywhere in the world. A computer, tablet or mobile device with a webcam is recommended.

HOURS

Online visitation is available every day of the week from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Onsite visitation is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Visitations are limited to 30 minutes. Onsite visitation will not be available on Saturday or Sunday.

Be advised that visits are subject to recording and review at all times. In addition, all visitations are monitored for safety and security concerns and for appropriate content. Any invidividual found abusing this privilege can be denied future access to the system. Abuse can be defined as, but not limited to, improper or malicious use of equipment, nudity or excessive profanity, and any illegal activity.
