Tully House is a residential reentry center that provides participants with intensive supervision and treatment services, coupled with work release and vocational, educational, and college education referral services. The center takes pride in its active alumni program, with a large number of former residents helping others successfully transition back into the community. The center was named after John Tully, a local advocate of substance abuse treatment.
The program focuses on substance abuse programming, education, and family services. The goal of the family services program is to reunite residents with their families and to reestablish healthy family relationships. The reentry residential programs deliver temporary housing, monitoring, and transitional services for adult male and female participants nationwide. Tully House provides services seven days a week offering structure and flexibility to meet participant risks and needs and agency goals.
Programs and services currently offered at Tully House include substance abuse programming, individual and group counseling, psycho-educational and cognitive restructuring, domestic violence, anger management, relapse prevention, parenting skills, criminality groups, 12-step meetings, alumni and aftercare programs, educational training, vocational training, job placement, recreation, library access, organized community outings, religious services, and a music program.
FACILITY DESCRIPTION:
Tully House has recreation areas, a library, an extensive computer lab and several classrooms. It is located in Newark next to Harbor House, Logan Hall and Toler House.
