Greensville Correctional Center, situated in Jarratt, VA, under the jurisdiction of the Virginia Department of Corrections, serves as a medium-maximum state prison housing male inmates. The facility features both medium security dormitories and maximum custody cells designated for the most violent offenders. Constructed mainly as a maximum security institution, it boasts two perimeter razor wire fences and six armed guard towers, housing the state's execution chamber within its confines.

Medium security inmates are accommodated in four pod-style buildings arranged in a semicircle.
