Valley County MT Jail & Detention Center is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.

The Valley County MT Jail & Detention Center is a detention center located at 501 Court Square Glasgow, MT which is operated locally by the Valley County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Valley County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Glasgow Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals.

There are payphones in each of the dayrooms which are operated by using phone cards. Phone cards may be purchased at $10.00 a card either by the inmate through the commissary, or by a family member through the Detention Center.

Visitation Information

VISITATION: SUNDAY 1 P.M. TO 3 P.M. TUESDAY 1 P.M. TO 3 P.M. THURSDAY 6 P.M. TO 8 P.M. Visits are limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes each. Visiting time may be shortened if there is a large volume of visitors. Visitors are allowed only one visit per day, No more than 2 times a week.
