Located at 1301 N Ephrata Ave in Connell, WA, CRCC carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. CRCC offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.
Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) stands as a medium-security and long-term minimum-security state prison, accommodating nearly 2,500 adult male inmates from across the Washington Department of Corrections facilities. This includes Camp Outlook, an attached minimum-security camp tailored for inmates with five years or less remaining on their sentences. Camp Outlook resembles a community college campus, featuring dormitories and landscaping, where inmates operate a textile factory and tend to a small garden for food cultivation. Some inmates partake in supervised off-site work, such as litter cleanup.
The inmate population is housed across ten units, with medium custody units B, C, D, and E, while minimum custody units F, G, H, I, Camas, and Sage cater to assisted living inmates. Religious activities are available to all inmates. CRCC actively engages in the Correctional Industries program, offering employment in a range of facilities including a pheasant farm, pillow and mattress factory, textile factory, food processing plant, and large-scale laundry operation. Inmates also contribute to institutional services like groundskeeping, custodial maintenance, and food preparation.
Technical training opportunities abound, covering areas like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, information technology, automotive repair, building maintenance, and welding. Select offenders may work off-site in supervised positions providing labor for various public agencies, contributing to community upkeep.
CRCC offers diverse academic, vocational, and offender change programs, including adult basic education, moral reconation therapy, substance abuse treatment, job readiness, and a unique dog training and adoption program. Community involvement is fostered through work crews supervised by correctional officers, assisting public agencies and non-profit organizations with property maintenance and infrastructure upkeep at reduced costs.
CRCC maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.
