Yes, information from the pre and post InmateAid sections can be sent to an inmate, but it needs to be done intentionally and in a format the facility will accept.

When you send a letter through InmateAid, it often includes a basic welcome packet with an overview of available services, along with a wish list form your inmate can use to request reading materials and preferences. That is meant to introduce them to what is available.

If your inmate wants more detailed information from specific sections, you can have those materials sent as part of your next letter. The key is to be clear about what you want included, such as:

  • Pre-release planning information
  • Reentry and post-release resources
  • Specific program or service details

As long as the content follows standard mail rules, it can be printed and delivered just like a regular letter.

If you are not sure what to include, you can request specific materials through InmateAid and have them added to your next mailing. This is a good way to get useful information directly into your inmate’s hands so they can review it and start planning ahead.
