Could someone please tell me what facility his inmate/number

I am looking for this guy that I was talking to when someone turned him in. I have been told of two different facilities that he is in. Could someone please tell me what facility his inmate/doc number and whatever else information

Getting conflicting information about where someone is housed is more common than you might expect, particularly in the early stages after an arrest or during a transfer between facilities. Database updates lag behind real-world movements, and different sources pull from different systems that do not always sync at the same time.

The most reliable starting point is VINELink at vinelink.com. Search by the person's full legal name and it will return current custody status across most jail and prison systems in the country. If they are in state custody, the relevant state department of corrections website typically has an offender search tool that reflects current placement. For federal inmates, bop.gov is the authoritative source.

If both facilities you heard about are showing his name, one of two things is happening. Either the records have not caught up to a recent transfer and the old facility still shows him as active while the new one has already logged his arrival, or there is a data error somewhere in the chain. Either way, calling both facilities directly and asking the records or intake department to confirm current housing by name and date of birth will resolve the conflict faster than any online search.

InmateAid's inmate locator is another tool worth trying, and if you are still hitting a wall after checking those sources, email aid@inmateaid.com with the name and last known location and the team can help point you in the right direction.
