Send Inmate Mail

Does inmate mail get read before they send it out?

Does the inmate need to put my name on a correspondence list and have it approved before they can receive mail? I sent letters already without knowing if their is such rules

No, inmates may receive all mail unless they are on a Homeland Security hold and then sometimes the lists are censored.
