how does an inmate file for divorce?

Yes my brother is in prison and he want to file for a divorce and we needed to no how do we go by doing that thankU...

The process isn't any different for folks not incarcerated.

The process isn't any different for folks not incarcerated. It's just that being locked up makes the simple process harder.  He will need to file a petition with the court, but most likely will have to pay an attorney to make sure it's done properly. The person he is divorcing will have to be served papers and then the fun begins.
