Congratulations on getting the second chance. That outcome is not guaranteed and the fact that the judge reinstated probation rather than revoking it says something about how the hearing went.

The release process after a court order is typically faster than most other release situations, but it still takes time to work through the system. Once the judge signs the order reinstating probation and releasing you from custody, that paperwork has to travel from the courtroom to the jail's booking and release department. Depending on how quickly court orders move at that facility and how busy the release processing is, that can take anywhere from a few hours to most of a day.

The five days you already served will be credited and should be accounted for in whatever conditions the judge attached to the reinstated probation.

The best thing to do right now is let the process move at its own pace. Agitating or demanding information from staff will not speed things up and can create unnecessary friction at exactly the moment you want everything to go smoothly. Let your family or whoever is picking you up know to be available and reachable but not to sit at the facility door. These things take the time they take.

Once you are out, your first priority is reporting to your probation officer within whatever timeframe the judge specified, which is almost certainly within 24 to 72 hours of release. Do not let that slide. The judge just extended trust a second time. The first thing you do with it matters.

You are almost there. Be patient.
