Go with the GDC website. That is the official record, maintained directly by the Georgia Department of Corrections, and it reflects the actual legal status of his sentence. If GDC says life, that is what the system has on file.
The inmate profiles on InmateAid are created and maintained by members and users of the site, not by InmateAid staff. The information in those profiles is only as accurate as what whoever created or last updated the profile entered at the time. InmateAid does not verify, monitor, or automatically update profile data. A release date showing on a user-created profile could be an old estimate, a mistake, or simply information that was never corrected after circumstances changed.
A discrepancy this significant, 47 days versus a life sentence, almost certainly means the profile was set up with incorrect or outdated information at some point. Do not make any decisions or plans based on what you see there.
If you want the InmateAid profile updated to reflect accurate information, send his name and current facility to the support team and they will get it corrected for you. But for anything that actually matters, the GDC offender search is where you go.
