Where to Order Approved Holiday Food Packages for Inmates?

Some facilities have special approved food, candy, chips boxes sent to inmates for Xmas, is there a website to order them? (I believe they send like a catalog to them to choose from)

Yes, several vendors specialize in prison-approved care packages, including holiday boxes and many facilities do allow them during specific windows around Thanksgiving and Christmas. The process works a little differently than standard mail and understanding how it is set up saves a lot of frustration.

Most facilities that allow holiday packages contract with a specific approved vendor rather than accepting packages from just anywhere. The facility controls which vendor is authorized and what can be ordered through them. Common vendors used across state and federal systems include Access Securepak, Walkenhorst's, Union Supply Direct, and MyCarePack. Each operates a catalog-based system where you browse approved items, place an order online, and the vendor ships directly to the facility in compliant packaging.

In many cases the facility does send a catalog or order form to the inmate directly so they can make selections or share a wish list with family on the outside. That is worth asking your loved one about during a call or in a letter since they may already have information about what is available and when orders need to be placed by.

The holiday package window is typically limited to a specific ordering period and closes well before the holiday itself to allow for processing and delivery. Missing that window means waiting until the next approved period so checking early is important.

The fastest way to find out which vendor is approved at your loved one's specific facility is to call the facility directly and ask the mailroom or inmate services department. They will tell you exactly which vendor to use and what the current ordering window is.
