The good news is that a lockdown is not a crisis for individual inmates in most cases. When a facility goes on lockdown, everyone is secured in their assigned housing, which is actually one of the safer positions an inmate can be in. They are accounted for, they are not in harm's way from other inmates, and the situation is being managed by staff.
