Convenience. Most people, probably yourself included, fail to write enough to make a difference. This service puts the tools on your cell phone and allows you to write a letter WHEN you are thinking about it. Convenience certainly has a price and our members have no issue with a one dollar premium to ensure their inmate gets the mail.
People promise their inmates pictures from the holidays and after several months of "being too busy", never get around to doing it. If you are organized then you don't need this, but after we have sent our millionth letter, we figured this was a pretty good service and are happy to be there for those that stay connected to their inmate everyday.
