Riverbend Correctional Facility in Georgia is a privately operated facility run by the GEO Group under contract with the Georgia Department of Corrections. Sending money to an inmate there follows the Georgia DOC approved process rather than a facility specific system. Inmates are tested for tuberculosis every year but are NOT tested for sexually transmitted diseases. There are provisions of disclosure where the admittance staff will interview the inmate and ask if they have HIV or hepatitis so as to know if the inmate will need special medical treatment.
