The ASPC Perryville - Women's Treatment is a state prison located at 2105 N Citrus Rd in Goodyear, AZ in Maricopa County. This State - medium security prison is operated by the Arizona Department of Corrections to hold inmates who have been convicted to and sentenced for a crime in the state of Arizona.
The inmates housed at the institution are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. Arizona's mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.
State facilities provide basic living standards to meet most of the inmate's needs, including dietary, health, fitness, education, religious practices, entertainment, and many others. Conditions in these prisons vary within the AZ DOC depend on many intersecting factors including the age of the buildings, the security level of the inmates and budget.
Work Programs - All units at ASPC-Perryville utilize inmate workers in a variety of jobs that are needed to assist in the functioning and operation of the facility. Arizona Law requires that all able-bodied inmates work. The pay scale for most institutional jobs ranges between 10 cents and 50 cents per hour. The majority of jobs are to be found in the following areas: kitchen work, grounds keeping, maintenance, building porters/janitors, clerks, and recreation aides.
The Department has established some limited/specialized contracts with outside entities through Arizona Correctional Industries which allows some inmates to earn more than 50 cents per hour. A listing of these work programs can be found under the heading for each unit where they operate.
Specialized programs by unit:
Education Programs - Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED programs are available to all inmates at all the units at ASPC-PV. All inmates must be enrolled in the Department's ABE Literacy Program if it has been determined that they are unable to function at the 8th-grade level. They must also progress beyond the 8th grade level in order to be eligible to receive anything more than the base pay for any job to which they are assigned.
Vocational education programs are available to inmates who qualify through Rio Salado Community College. The Department has a contract with Rio Salado Community College to provide a limited selection of vocational classes to inmates including computers classes.
ASPC Perryville - Women's Treatment is a facility in the Arizona Department of Corrections. The DOC publishes the names of their current inmates and identifies which of their locations the inmate is being held. Your search should start with the first DOC locator to see if your loved one is there. Begin with the first three letters of the offender's first and last name, it does not have to be spelled exactly.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry has taken significant actions to mitigate the risk and impacts of COVID-19 in its facilities. Keeping our staff, inmates, and communities safe continues to be our top priority.
To help protect the health of each inmate, staff member, family member, or friend inside the facility, contact visits will remain temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic until it is deemed safe to reopen the visitation process. Video visitation will continue for those inmates who have visitation privileges. Inmates continue to be eligible for one 30-minute video visit per week to allow as many inmates as possible to participate. No fees are associated with the video visitation.
In the future, when in-person visitation is allowed, we will make advance notice to the inmates, family members, and or friends.
