The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR)-Safford-Fort Grant Unit operates as a minimum-security facility within the Safford complex, housing a total of 730 state-sentenced offenders alongside the Globe and Tonto Units. Work opportunities abound for inmates, encompassing roles in food service, building and vehicle maintenance, and general labor for institutional grounds upkeep. The Fort Grant Unit's minimum custody inmates contribute to off-site crews engaged in community projects across Graham County, Greenlee County, and Cochise County, including initiatives like the Wildland Fire Crew, Healthy Forest Initiative, and Cattle Operation. Education programs are comprehensive, offering Adult Basic Education, GED, and high school diploma programs, as well as courses in cognitive restructuring, addiction recovery, parenting, and various vocational subjects through partnerships with institutions like Eastern Arizona College, Rio Salado Community College, and Ashland University. Treatment and self-improvement programs cater to inmates' diverse needs, including substance abuse counseling, behavior modification, peer facilitation, and reentry preparation, aimed at facilitating successful rehabilitation and eventual reintegration into society.

Visitation days are Saturday, Sunday, and State holidays.
Hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
No visitors are accepted after 2:00 p.m.
Visitation for detention inmates is Non-Contact and By Appointment - Only.
Appointments can be scheduled through the visitation office and must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
