The Berrien County MI Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 919 Port St St. Joseph, MI which is operated locally by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Family or friends may provide money for personal care products, stamps, stationary, etc. for inmates. Money must be deposited at the jail lobby kiosk where it will be credited to the inmate's account. The Post Office requests that no cash be sent in the mail to inmates. Money orders will only be accepted for deposit to inmate accounts. For further information on what is allowed, please read the Inmate Rules and Regulations Manual.
