The Beggs Detention Center is a detention center located at 2550 W Franklin Rd Norman, OK which is operated locally by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Cleveland County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Norman Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

Visitation Rules - ***All video visitations are subject to recording and/or monitoring***

Clergy needs proof of ordination and a valid driver's license in order to visit. They do not need to schedule a visit, they are welcome 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1. You must schedule a visit by calling Legacy Inmate Communications at 1-888-729-4326

2. Your visit must be scheduled (1) one business day before you visit.

3. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit to ensure you are checked in before your visitation begins. We cannot restart visitation and late check-ins will decrease your visitation time. Visits are limited to 30 minutes.

4. The facility DOES NOT accept walk-ins.

5. The facility staff will attempt to notify you at least one hour in advance if visitation must be canceled for any reason (example: inclement weather).

6. Visitation is over video/phone chat. There are no face-to-face visits or contact visits.

7. You may not visit if you have been incarcerated within the last (90) ninety days.

8. We do not have visitation on weekends or holidays.

9. Must have a valid state-issued ID with photo and the name on the ID must match the name on the scheduled visitation.

10. All visitors must wear a full shirt, nothing low cut or you may not visit.

11. Children under 18 must be approved for visitation at the inmate’s request.

12. Children are not to be left unsupervised in the lobby.

13. No cell phones or recording device are allowed in the visitation area.

14. You must be seated during your visit and nothing can be shown to the camera, including photographs.

15. If you choose to disobey any rules, your visits could be terminated indefinitely.

16. If you cancel or do not show up for your visit you will not be able to schedule a visit until the following week.
