The Clinton County MO Jail is a low/medium-security detention center located at 207 North Main St Plattsburg, MO which is operated locally by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Clinton County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Plattsburg Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Commissary Inmates are allowed to place a commissary order once a week. Money may be added to an inmate’s account by money order if dropped off or by mail. The Clinton County Jail does not accept cash, personal checks or credit/debit cards. Inmates are able to have deposits made to their commissary money through http://courtmoney.com by credit, debit card or check. Visitation Information

Visitation Visitation with family and friends is a privilege. Visitors will present identification upon request and will be logged on a Visitor’s Log. Cell phones, purses, bags or large articles of clothing are not allowed in the visitation room. Visitors and their belongings are subject to search prior to visiting. Visiting times are as follows: Saturday and Sunday 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm for Males 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm for Females No visit may exceed 20 minutes. No person under the age of fifteen (15) years of age may visit an inmate, unless permitted by the Sheriff or Jail Administrator. Inmates may see a member of the Clergy and/or Attorney between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, unless it is an emergency situation.
