The inmates housed at Camp George West located at 15445 S Golden Rd in Golden, CO are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

Offenders can also participate in a variety of educational and treatment programs including earning a basic adult education, GED, alcoholics and narcotics anonymous, classes for parenting and computer skills.

As a last resort, you might have to pay for that information if we do not have it. The Arrest Record Search will cost you a small amount, but their data is the freshest available and for that reason, they charge to access it.

ALERT: COVID-19 SUSPENSION OF VISITATION
Given the risks associated with the spread of COVID-19, the Colorado Department of Corrections has begun to modify operations at our facilities.
At this time, in order to best protect CDOC facilities, effective immediately the Department of Corrections will suspend all visiting in our facilities. DOC understands that this will greatly impact the inmate population, but have made the difficult decision that the risk of a visitor potentially bringing COVID-19 into a facility is something that must be prevented to the extent possible. CDOC has implemented video visiting in all facilities (please see the section on Implementation of Video Visiting further down the page) and is providing all offenders in our custody one free 5-minute phone call per week in order to assist offenders in staying connected to those they care about. Legal visits will still occur but will be non-contact visits.
Please see the full announcement regarding our modified operations at https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdoc/news/3-11-2020-operational-changes-colorado-department-corrections-facilities-prevention-covid-19.
