The Decatur Co Jail is a detention center located at 138 E Main St Decaturville, TN which is operated locally by the Decatur County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Decatur County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Decaturville Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Decatur County Detention Center is a medium security facility that houses the Sheriff's department, arraignment courtroom and detention areas. This facility can house 60 inmates with an additional 16 in temporary holding areas. Separate male and female pods with their own secure outdoor exercise yards are monitored by a central control room with 24 hour manned surveillance. Inmate housing ranges from one-man cells to twelve-man dorms. Visitation areas are located in the public entrance to the jail.
