The Eagle Pass Correctional is a detention center located at 742 Texas Hwy 131 Eagle Pass, TX which is operated locally by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Maverick County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Eagle Pass Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. BACKGROUND

In 2017, GEO purchased Eagle Pass Correctional Facility and following facility renovations, GEO reactivated the facility in August 2018.

SCOPE OF WORK: GEO provides housing, management, and supervision services at the Facility. The Facility provides residential care, medical services, food service, and rehabilitation programs in accordance with IDOC requirements.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION: Each housing area has access to recreation areas, library, barbershop, medical triage rooms, programming classrooms and case management offices. In 2018, GEO renovated the facility to meet the needs of the Idaho Department of Correction.

The facility was designed in compliance with the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and American Correctional Association Standards.
