Federal Correctional Institution, El Reno Satellite Prison Camp (FCI El Reno Camp) is a minimum-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Oklahoma. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the US Department of Justice.
FCI El Reno is located in central Oklahoma, 30 miles west of Oklahoma City.
Housing: The satellite prison camp has only 1 housing unit. This housing unit is split into 4 wings that are made up of small cubicles for housing.
Notable inmate event - On December 19, 2004, inmate Carlos Brewster escaped from the minimum-security prison camp at FCI El Reno. A fugitive task force led by the US Marshals Service apprehended Brewster three weeks later at a fast-food restaurant in East Los Angeles, California. Brewster was returned to Oklahoma, where he had additional time added to the 21-year sentence he was serving for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Health Services: Sick call, dental care, emergency treatment, chronic care, preventive health care services, emergency services, diagnosis and treatment of chronic infectious diseases, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and medications are all available at FCI El Reno Camp. Emergency health care is available 24 hours a day.
Psychology Services: Psychologists are responsible for providing a full range of professional psychological services. Psychologists also aid staff members through program design, consultation, and training. Services for inmates include evaluations and therapy. Common treatment groups include anger management, HIV/AIDS awareness, and criminal thinking.
Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP): FCI El Reno houses a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). The camp does not house a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). The facilities also provide a Drug Abuse Program, Drug Abuse Education Course, and Non-Residential Drug Abuse program (NR-DAP).
Education Services: FCI El Reno Camp provides literacy, GED, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) programs. Other educational offerings include parenting and Adult Continuing Education (ACE) classes. High school diplomas and post-secondary programs are available through paid correspondence programs.
Advanced Occupational Education: FCI El Reno Camp offers Diesel Repair and Horticulture.
Apprenticeship: FCI El Reno Camp offers an apprenticeship in Dental Assistant.
Library Services: FCI El Reno offers a legal and leisure library for inmates. The legal library primarily consists of the Bureau’s TRULINCS Electronic Law Library computers. Typewriters and a copy machine are also available. The leisure library permits inmates to check out fiction and nonfiction books, newspapers, and magazines.
Commissary: Inmates at FCI El Reno Camp are permitted to spend up to $360.00 per month in commissary purchases on their designated shopping day. Items such as food, drinks, clothing, and electronics can be purchased.
Recreation Services: Recreation services at FCI El Reno Camp include areas for both indoor and outdoor activities, which include field games, court games, tabletop games, individual events, arts and crafts, team sports, space for music enthusiasts, and television. Basketball, flag football, soccer, and Frisbee are all popular sports leagues.

The Commissary provides a bank type account for your money & for the procurement of articles not issued regularly as part of the institution administration. We remind all visitors to carefully review our special visiting procedures during the COVID pandemic, and also remind all visitors to observe applicable state and local COVID travel restrictions in planning your visit to the institution.
All visitors will be temperature checked with results annotated at the screening site prior to entrance. All staff working the screening site will be in proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Visitors will be in-processed on a first come first serve basis, adhering to social-distancing requirements. If distancing requirements cannot be met, visitors may be asked to wait outside for systematic in-processing to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Inmates on quarantine or isolation status will not be permitted visits - it will be the visitor's responsibility to check with the institution prior to arrival to ensure the scheduled visit can still take place.
The visiting room is designed to maximize social distancing, with a minimum of six feet between persons. Inmates are permitted two visitors per visit. To ensure equal opportunities, the frequency of visits determines any termination. Appropriate face coverings are mandatory for all inmates and visitors, all visitors wearing a mask will be provided one by the institution, theirs will be secured in the lockers in the lobby. No physical contact, photographs, food, or drink is permitted. A hand hygiene station, including alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is available at all visiting entrances and exits. Orderlies are assigned to each visitation room and will continually sanitize all touch surfaces, restrooms, etc.
